News Summary

INROADS is announcing a new approach to servicing you better, and creating more opportunities for young people in the future.

As we embark upon our 35 th year, INROADS is taking large strides to give you the competitive edge that you need to succeed in your discipline. Using exhaustive survey and research findings from you, our Alumni, our sponsors, and staff, INROADS is evolving to provide enhanced servicing. By transitioning our services to focus our resources on key industries, INROADS can better prepare you to meet the demands of your future career. This Industry Vertical structure will provide you with training tailored to increase your industry knowledge and cross functional skills so you can grow professionally and contribute to your company's bottom-line. Additionally, INROADS staff will specialize in industries to provide greater support to you and your sponsor.

Industry Vertical restructuring requires a realignment of INROADS offices and staff to provide consistent service levels across the nation for you and our corporate clients. Thus, we are introducing Regional Offices, which will reposition staff in roles to better service your needs.

I truly hope that you will join us in the excitement of these new changes, and that you will continue to be a part of this Next Level Opportunity!

Sincerely,

Charles I. Story

What About Me

Moving to an Industry Verticals structure will mean that INROADS can operate more efficiently. Take a few moments to view the details of how the restructuring may impact you:

•  Each local office will be realigned into one of the new Regional Offices. There will be 12 new Regional Offices (see map). Many of the INROADS staff will remain in the local geography, but will have companies grouped by industry. The re-organization will allow for more efficient servicing for you, and it will occur over the next 12 – 18 months in phases. As a result, your INROADS office may be impacted sooner than others. It is our intent to make the changes as seamless as possible, so you can continue to focus on your professional development and sponsor relationship. At any time, you can call your INROADS Managing Director with questions.

•  Seven Industry Verticals have been approved by the INROADS National Board: Consumer Products, Energy, Financial Services, Health Care, Manufacturing, Retail, Technology and Communications. Industries outside of these remain in a “General Market” category. The first three Industry Verticals; Retail, Health Care, and Financial Services; will be established by the end of this summer.

•  A person in the newly created position of INROADS Industry Vice President will work with an Industry Advisory Council, ensuring that you receive relevant training, pertinent to your specific industry in future training sessions.

•  Your INROADS staff advisor may change as they are promoted and/or transition to roles that meet their strengths, skills and capabilities to better serve you. You will have the best person possible to work with you throughout the remainder of your INROADS Intern tenure.
