Getting an early start can make a world of a difference for your career. For Fadwa Hilili, it started in high school when she first joined INROADS while working a part-time job at Tampa Electric (TECO). By networking at the company, she met an INROADS Intern that was transitioning into a full-time position with the company, and wanted to take advantage of those same career-advancing opportunities. So she joined INROADS and have since interned with TECO for two summer semesters now.

“INROADS has changed my life!” shares Fadwa. “My internship has allowed me to gain valuable work experience while also building professional relationships and putting myself through college. There is nothing like it.”

INROADS has certainly helped developed Fadwa for the corporate world. She is now more confident than ever and has overcome her uneasiness with networking within business settings. Having the mentoring of the President of her company has also given her a boost in being comfortable with navigating the C-suite and understanding the corporate culture.

“The summer professional development workshops have built up my leadership skills, and the sense of community that has been instilled in us as Interns have helped me to feel more empowered and develop real friendships. I love being an INROADER!”
