New Regional Director to Spearhead Business Development for INROADS, Nation’s Largest Source of Salaried Corporate Internships
Douglas Scott, a multi-channel marketing executive, has recently been secured as the South Central Regional Director for INROADS, a national non-profit organization recognized for more than 40 years of cultivating and developing talented underserved students for business success in corporate America. Within this new role, Scott will oversee business development and operations for the region, which serves the Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana region.
“Douglas brings to INROADS a wealth of marketing and business experience from corporations like Procter & Gamble, Bausch & Lomb, RadioShack, Pizza Hut, and Circuit City, and we’re confident that it will translate into effective leadership and strategic direction for the South Central Region,” shares Stacy McMurray, Vice-President at INROADS. “A true success story who has seen INROADS through multiple lenses- as an INROADS Alumnus, former staff member of the Dallas/Ft. Worth office, and as a Board Member of the South Central Region- he is the embodiment of the INROADS promise.”
Throughout the years, Scott has served in either Director of Marketing or Vice-President of Marketing capacities for corporate giants across a diversity of industry sectors. Previous roles have included Director of Marketing for Harbor Freight Tools, Director of Marketing for Circuit City Stores, VP Marketing at Radio Shack Corporation, Sales & Marketing Coach at Pizza Hut, Director of Marketing at Bausch & Lomb Eyewear, and assistant Brand Manager at the Proctor and Gamble Company. Within these roles, he’s accumulated more than 15 years of experience developing integrated strategic marketing initiatives and positioning brands for greater awareness, market presence, and market share.
Scott holds a B.B.A. degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Clark Atlanta University Graduate School of Business. He will serve this new role in Dallas where he currently resides with his family.
